Poppy Seed Ham & Swiss Sliders

These poppy seed ham and Swiss cheese sliders have been my go-to this shower season and didn’t disappoint! I have to say – they’ve been a diverse crowd pleaser as well. Bachelorette party at 2am? Devoured. On our best behavior at Kristin’s baby shower? Gracefully and daintily devoured. Try out this easy recipe at your next event! (And for the love of all things good, please invite me.)

Poppy Seed Ham & Swiss Cheese Sliders

Ingredients
::
dinner rolls (I used the Colonial dinner rolls found in the bread aisle)
:: honey ham
::
Swiss cheese

Poppy Seed Sauce
::
 1 Tablespoon poppy seeds
::
1/2 cup butter melted
::
1.5 Tablespoons of yellow mustard
::
 1 Tablespoon minced onion
::
 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees. Slice your ham and cheese to be about the same size as the dinner rolls you’re using. Cut your rolls in half and place ham and Swiss cheese slices inside. I put 2 small pieces of ham and 2 small pieces of cheese inside.

Place all of your mini sandwiches very close together in a greased 9 x 13 pan. You can use any kind of dinner rolls such as Hawaiian bread but I use the Colonial dinner rolls found in the bread aisle because they are sold in foil pans. I simply assemble my sandwiches and put them back in the pan they came in!

Simply mix together all remaining ingredients to prepare your poppy seed sauce.

Spread your poppy seed sauce evenly over the top of your sandwiches. I also lift the top of each roll and use a teaspoon to put a little sauce on the inside as well. Let your sliders sit for a couple of minutes until the butter has set.

Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350 for 12 – 15 minutes. The best part about these little guys – they can be made a day ahead of time and kept in the refrigerator until ready to bake.

What are your shower food crowd pleasers? At the rate my friends and family are getting married and having babies I’m going to need tons of ideas. Have a great weekend!
